Development Kits

XMOS produces a wide range of development kits based on XS1-G and XS1-L devices, ranging from evaluation boards to full reference design kits that you can use as the starting point for your applications. Each kit comes with comprehensive documentation and tutorials to get you started with developing applications using event-driven processor devices. Schematics and design files for each board are available to download free of charge.

XS1-G Development Kit - Everything in one box

XDK

The XDK contains everything you need to start developing applications based on the XS1-G family of programmable devices. It provides a comprehensive set of peripheral devices that allows you to quickly develop a broad range of designs. If required, custom hardware can be added and it's simple to connect to hosts, peers and networks using the onboard expansion ports.

USB Audio 2.0 Reference Design (XS1-L1)

A reference design for production audio products that need to implement USB Audio Class 2.0. The development board is available with a software framework that provides USB High Speed and Audio Class 2.0, with options to add additional audio processing, interfaces and peripherals.

XK-1 Development Kit

The XK-1 is a low cost development board intended for exploring and designing event-driven processor designs based on the XS1-L1 device. Multiple XK-1 boards can be linked together in a chain and two I/O expansion areas are provided for connecting additional components to the XK-1. An XTAG-2 debug adapter can be connected to the XK-1 to provide a JTAG interface to the development board from a PC.

XTAG-2 Debug Adapter

XTAG-2

Based on a single XS1-L1 device, the XTAG-2 debug adapter converts signals between an XMOS XSYS2 connector and USB 2.0, providing pins for JTAG control, system reset, processor debug, one duplex UART link and one duplex serial XMOS Link. The XTAG-2 debug adapter can be used to connect XMOS development kits to most PCs, and provide a 5V power supply.

XC-1A Development Kit - Rapid Prototyping

XC-1

The credit card sized XC-1A board is based on the four-core XS1-G4 programmable device, and provides basic I/O including LEDs, switches and a speaker for use with a software-driven 1-bit DAC. The XC-1A is easily interfaced to your system hardware via I/O pins, and you can integrate additional components using the prototyping area.

XC-2 Ethernet Kit

XC-2

The XC-2 Ethernet Kit provides a fast and cost effective route to implementing and testing XCore-based design ideas that connect to a 10/100 Ethernet system using an RJ45 socket.

XC-3 LED Tile Control Kit

XC-3

The XC-3 LED Tile Control Kit provides a complete software programmable solution for controlling LED arrays and strings using XCore processors. The XC-3 is an ideal starting point for prototyping LED scan board designs.

XC-5 Development Kit

XC-5

The credit card sized XC-5 board is based on the single-core XS1-L1 programmable device. It provides basic I/O including LEDs, switches and a speaker for use with a software-driven 1-bit DAC. The XC-5 can be interfaced to your system hardware using I/O pins, and you can integrate additional components using the prototyping area.

AVB Reference Design Kit - Networked Ethernet Audio

AVB Reference Design Kit

The XMOS AVB Reference Design builds on the power of XS1-G4 programmable devices and the flexibility of the XS1-G Development Kit (XDK) to demonstrate a complete AVB networked audio system. All AVB features and functions are implemented entirely in software using the XMOS Event-Driven Processor architecture.

LED Reference Design Kit - Ethernet-Based LED Systems

LED Reference Design Kit

XMOS programmable devices can be used to build an Ethernet-based LED Tile system that uses daisychains of 100BASE-T scan boards off a central 100/1000BASE-T Ethernet switch. All requirements are implemented entirely in software using the XMOS Event-Driven Processor architecture.
