BRISTOL, UK - 29th Feb 2008. XMOS Semiconductor, the creator of Software Defined Silicon (SDS), is a finalist in the EE Times' Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards 2008. Judged by a panel of industry experts spanning academia, industry and Wall Street, the awards recognise the electronics industry's most innovative companies and breakthrough technologies.
XMOS is in a shortlist of just five companies in the Start-up of the Year Award category. The award is made to a VC or pre-IPO financed start-up that demonstrates excellence in business development and/or technology development processes and that has the potential to become a technology or market leader in the global electronics industry.

The winners will be announced at the ACE Awards Gala Dinner taking place on April 15 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California. The ACE Awards are part of the ESC Silicon Valley Conference and Exhibition at which XMOS Semiconductor will also be appearing at booth number 3034.
