Student Project Support and Competitions
XMOS technology provides an ideal target for many student group or individual projects. With a range of multicore, multithreaded chips and simple board designs we offer excellent development platforms, as well as tools to enable students to program their applications using high-level concurrent languages.
Examples of great projects using XMOS technology can be found at http://youtube.com/MyXMOS.
Please contact us if you are interested in using XMOS technology in your project and we will be happy to support you.
XMOS sponsors two on-going prizes for student projects using XMOS technology. Projects must be undertaken as a significant component of a degree program.
- The XMOS Prize for Group Projects
- The XMOS Prize for Individual Projects
Submissions for these prizes are always open. Projects are assessed on an on-going basis, and the following prizes are awarded for excellent projects. A list of prize winners will be posted here.
- Gold Prize: $500 + XMOS tshirt per team member
- Silver Prize: $250 + XMOS tshirt per team member
- Bronze Prize: $100 + XMOS tshirt per team member
All entries should be sent by email to competitions@xmos.com. You must include your full name, University and a contact email address and phone number. Additionally, you should provide:
- A report on your work – usually the written report submitted to your institution is appropriate.
- A demonstration of your work. For most practical projects this would take the form of a video placed on YouTube.
If you are unsure what to submit to us, then ask! Email competitions@xmos.com
Best of luck.
